From the Director:
Galilee by the Sea has been an exciting adventure at
Providence Baptist Church this past week. Our average attendance for the week
was 100.
Many thanks goes out to everyone from Providence Baptist Church and
Rico United Methodist for the part they played in planning and decorating the
village and synagogue, designing and sewing the beautiful costumes, leading and
teaching the tribes, working in the marketplace, recreational games, leading and
participating in skits, synagogue teaching, leading worship in the gathering,
providing publicity and photography, providing the animals for the barnyard,
baking of the bread for tribe time, preparing and serving our delicious meals,
and participating in fellowship and learning opportunities all week! I think the
greatest joy was seeing families together studying about Jesus.
As the VBS Director this year I want to say thanks to everyone who volunteered
this week. I have been blessed with many brothers and sisters in Christ who have
supported me in the journey through the Sea of Galilee VBS. As the saying goes -
it takes a village! I want to say a special thanks to my Mother Dessie Kinser
and my sister Patti Hughes who have been my right and left arms - I could not
have made it without them! Most of all thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ who has
been with us all the way and to the many prayer warriors who supported us with
their prayers.....Your humble and joyful servant, Linda.

The horn is sounded,
calling all tribes to the market square.

Bunnies, goats, and
calves liven up the barnyard playground.

In the bakery, even
experienced cooks enjoy the primitive bread making.

As Vacation Bible
School comes to an end, the group joins hands and sings "We are Powerful"
