Missions at Providence!
When there is a need in the community, our folks work together to meet the need.
Some folks are in need of prayer, financial help, food, firewood, clothing, home repairs, and a
variety of other needs. Praise God for helping us to show love and compassion to others.
SAMARITAN'S PURSE 2018
Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes
We will have a team of workers go to the Samaritan's Purse Warehouse in Atlanta
to inspect and process the boxes for shipping.
The date will be Thursday, December 6. Meet at Providence at 12:30 p.m.
We will work from 2:00-6:00 p.m.
We will stop at the Varsity to eat dinner on the way back home.

Highlights from 2017
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Thanks for making a difference in the lives of children in other countries.
We had 35 boxes that were contributed this year.
A group of 21 worked at the Samaritan's Purse Warehouse on Dec. 5, 2017.
Michael Dempsey Memorial BBQ - October 7
Proceeds from the BBQ benefited Southwest Christian Care ($2,500),
Operation Hometown Outreach ($1,245) & Special Needs ($1,245).
Special thanks to everyone who worked at the BBQ!
BUCKETS OF HOPE
Providence collected items for Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas
& surrounding states. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project!
A total of 43 buckets of supplies were donated to those in need.
Operation Hometown Outreach (OHO)
Monday-Friday, June 5-9 - 8 a.m. daily
Special thanks to all the volunteers worked so hard this week!
51 mission projects were completed at 29 locations. To God be the glory!

Spaghetti Luncheon to Benefit Tornado Victims
Sunday, February 5 - 12:15 p.m.
A Spaghetti Luncheon was prepared by Pat Long. The meal was held in the F. Center
after the morning service on Sunday, February 5. Folks donated $25 Walmart gift cards
that were delivered to tornado victims in Albany. Cash gifts were also delivered to those in
need in Adele. Thanks so much to Kenneth and Elaine for delivering the gifts.
Trip to Uganda – February, 2017
Mrs. Susan Roper, GA Leader, went to Uganda - Feb. 7-Feb. 24.
Susan traveled with Tommy and Teresa Harris.
Tommy and Teresa Harris spoke at Providence to
during Prayer Service on Weds., January 25, at 6:45 p.m.
They also ate dinner and visited with our GA's at 5:45 p.m.
The following list includes items that were needed in Uganda.
All donated items were sent with Tommy & Teresa for the February trip.
