Rico Methodist Church served up a perfect Spring on the Green, as the community turned out in mass for the second annual celebration.

The first stop for many was the BBQ tent,
hosted by Providence Baptist Church.

Volunteers began slow-cooking the
BBQ on Friday afternoon and then
served up the Southern-style treat
beginning at 11 a.m.

Many ladies, and at least one man, showed off their Easter bonnets.

The desserts were deliciously sinful. It was difficult to choose just one.

There were plenty of activities for children and families, including a guest appearance by Fluffy the Bunny.

And what would a day in the country be without animals? There were stuffed animals, miniature animals, and baby ducks.

Some folks chose to sit around.

While others took part in the arts and crafts.

Speaking of arts and crafts, there were many more on display at the Rico Cultural Center next door. Ken Langley displayed family heirloom quilts, many of which were signed by women in the community.
