"We Are All In This Together"

7/30/2014

All across the land churches are searching for meaningful ways to share Christ with their communities. I am blessed to serve a church that has the community of Chattahoochee Hills on its heart. What an opportunity God has given us. The month of August 2014 is going to be a month of reaching people and celebrating the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

My prayer is that God's people will know that we are all in this together.  What a blessing to see God's people worshiping together, praying together, ministering together.  When God's people are on mission together in the name of Christ lives are going to be transformed.

Rather than having our annual August revival, we are going to have an entire month during which we will focus intentionally on what it really means to be God's people together on mission.

It will begin with a special youth service on August 10th.  The youth of our community are encouraged to bring their friends to breakfast with our Youth Pastor and his wife Sunday at 9:00 a.m..  This will be followed by a special Sunday School class where the Lord's Supper will be served to our youth.  The Sunday worship will be led by our Youth Pastor and include music and testimonies from our youth.

Sunday, August 10th is Homecoming.  This is a time for you to express gratitude to God for our heritage and celebrate our hope in Christ.  I will be preaching,  "The Wonder of The Church."  Please join us for worship and the fellowship dinner that will follow.

Sunday, August 17th is the time for our Camp Meeting Sunday.  What a great day we are going to experience.  The Bluegrass Band, The Banjo Cats" from Nashville, Tennessee will present a Gospel Bluegrass Concert.  Please come and invite your friends.  I am praying that on this day many people will come to know Christ and experience the fellowship of Providence.

We are blessed to be in a wonderful community.  August 23rd and 24th, we are going to show appreciation for our community.  We will assist in community improvements projects on the 23rd and have a community appreciation service on the 24th./ Breakfast will be served on the 23rd and Greg Brett, Fire Chief of Chattahoochee Hills will speak on the 24th.

We will conclude this month of "We Are All In This Together" by observing the Lord's Supper.  This will happen on August 31st as we gather around the Lord's Table to take inventory of our spiritual journey and renew our resolve to follow our Lord in building His kingdom.

YES, WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.   THIS COULD BE THE REAL BEGINNING OF A TREMENDOUS SPIRITUAL AWAKENING IN OUR COMMUNITY THAT WILL RESULT IN THE TRANSFORMATION OF LIVES.
