Thanksgiving Celebration

11/16/2016

Sunday, November 20, is Providence Baptist Church's annual Thanksgiving celebration. We look forward to a great day of expressing our gratitude to God for the many things He has done for us.  This is a time to invite our community to join us in celebrating the blessings of God.

I look forward with great anticipation as we gather for Bible study and worship.  This time of experiencing the awesome presence of God will be followed by a fellowship meal that is so great that I lack the words to give it an adequate description.  I encourage all of us to invite our friends and neighbors to join us for this time of experiencing the BREAD OF LIFE ALONG WITH THE BREAD THAT FEEDS OUR PHYSICAL BODIES.

This Sunday is the time for our annual Thanksgiving Offering.  Three years ago Providence made the decision to receive a Thanksgiving Offering to finance capital improvement needs.  This year we have had to purchase a new freezer and ice machine.   It is these needs that are met through this offering.   I encourage all of us to give what we can.  It is so important that whatever we give, we give with a joyful heart.

Included in this letter is an offering envelope for this purpose.  This offering will be received during the worship service and luncheon celebration.   This gift will be given to once again remind us "THAT IT IS NOT ABOUT US, IT'S ALL ABOUT HIM."

SUNDAY IS GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY AS WE GIVE GLORY TO GOD FOR THE GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE.
