"Thanksgiving 2014"
The Thanksgiving season is always such a special time.  My heart overflows with gratitude for life's blessings.  These blessings come from God and I am blessed to have the privilege of sharing these blessings.

I AM THANKFUL
That by God's grace I was made a minister.
For the privilege of serving as Pastor of Providence Baptist Church
For each member of our fellowship.
For a  people who remember daily their Pastor and his family in prayer.

I AM THANKFUL
For my wife Margaret, our daughter Jenny and our grandson Mihai.
For the inspiration and encouagement I receive from my family.
For the love our family members share with one another.
For the blessings we receive from being with one another.

I AM THANKFUL
For children and the lessons they teach.
For teachers who view their work as a calling.
For parents who spend quality time with their children.
For the laughter of a child.

I AM THANKFUL
For the stillness of the early morning hours.
For the taste of a cup of coffee on a cold morning.
For the smell of bacon being prepared for Saturday morning breakfast.
For the sound of the garage door going up knowing that a family member  home safe.

I AM THANKFUL
For my leaf blower that takes the leaves away.
For the comforts of home.
For a telephone conversation with my brother and sister that always ends with "I love you!"
For the memories of a wonderful childhood that continue to flood my soul.

I AM THANKFUL
For time to spend in prayer and Bible study.
For inspiration and information found in reading a good book.
For the human touch.
For the presence of God in the midst of the challenges of life.

I AM THANKFUL
For my morning friends at the Summit Family Y.M.C.A.
For the feeling I have after a morning work-out at the Gym.
For the words of encouragement that come at just the right time.
For the changing seasons.

ABOVE ALL I AM THANKFUL
For God's love that surrounds me moment by moment.
For God's son who makes life worth living.
For Hope in a world of despair.
And for living to see another season of Thanksgiving.
