One of the most meaningful experiences at Providence Baptist Church is our annual Homecoming. This day is characterized by inspiring worship, fellowship with friends, and an abundance of food. It is a time when those who were once part of the Providence family return to their spiritual home. Providence has a great heritage and homecoming is a time to celebrate. Please accept my invitation to join us as precious memories flood our soul.
Homecoming Day also begins our revival services. Last year, this church
experienced a moving of God’s spirit among us. That spirit continues and we are blessed that the same team who led us last year will return this year.
Dr. Jon Redmond, Assistant Pastor of First Baptist Church, Pasadena, Texas will lead our homecoming and revival worship. Jon has a special relationship with Providence Church—he was born when his father, Dr. Charles Redmond, was pastor at Providence. Jon is a gifted preacher with a heart for God. I believe that Providence is ready to take another step towards spiritual awakening that will result in transforming lives.
Jon McDonald touched our hearts through special music. He will be our guest soloist and our own Mrs. Nancy Whittenburger will lead the congregation.
I believe God stands ready to bless Providence in indescribable ways. Our people continue to pray for a mighty moving of God’s presence among us. One of the greatest hours in our church history is among us. Please come home and share this exciting time with us.
