Christian Care Plan

2/20/2017

I am one of those individuals who really want things to be done decently and in order.   My family, in a spirit of love, kids me about always wanting to have a plan.  I really believe that not having a plan results in confusion, conflict and procrastination.

The past several weeks I have been focused on a Christian care plan.  We hear so much these days about taking care of our physical well being.  Gym memberships are at an all time high.  I have observed people in grocery stores checking the labels on food, reading the caloric content as they take nutrition seriously.

MY FOCUS THESE DAYS IS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CHRISTIAN CARE PLAN THAT WILL ENABLE EACH OF US TO GROW IN OUR LOVE FOR GOD AND OUR LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER.  VERY SOON WE WILL BEGIN OUR LENTEN JOURNEY THAT WILL BRING US TO A GREAT EASTER CELEBRATION.  I BELIEVE IT IS TIME WE FOCUS ON OUR PERSONAL CHRISTIAN CARE PLAN THAT WILL ENABLE US TO PRACTICE THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN OUR JOURNEY.

Here are my recommendations for a Christian Care Plan:

1.  I encourage us to make our prayer life a constant communion with God.  Yes, it is important to have a specific time and place for prayer.  I also believe that the Christian should live a life of constant communion with God.  He has promised "never to leave us."  Therefore, let us practice His presence in our daily walk.  Live the words of the Prophet Jeremiah, "Trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your on understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and He will direct  your path."  That my friends is constant communion with God.

2.  Spend time in solitude reflecting upon the greatness of God.  Each day reflect upon three blessings for which you are grateful.  Spend a time of solitude reflecting upon these blessings and you will discover a positive attitude residing in you.

3.  Refrain from a critical spirit.  Remember Jesus said, "We are to love our neighbor as we love ourselves." These are time of division in church, communities, families and nation.  My Christian Care Plan calls for being an encourager to others.   Encouragement empowers others to live a full and meaningful life.

4.   Spend time in serious Bible study.  The Bible is an exciting, interesting book that will comfort us when we are afflicted and afflict us when we become too comfortable.  Read it carefully and prayerfully and you will surely be able to proclaim with Martin Luther, the Father of the Protestant Reformation, "There is a man in this book and He is alive."

MY PRAYER IS THAT YOU WILL DEVELOP YOUR CHRISTIAN CARE PLAN THAT WILL ULTIMATELY RESULT IN GROWING IN CHRIST JESUS.  YOU ARE WELCOME TO MY SUGGESTIONS AND I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOURS.

BLESSINGS,
"DOC"
