Thanksgiving Luncheon 2018

11/8/2018

As I write these words, there is a song in my heart.  It is the song penned by the Psalmist David:

"Enter His gates with Thanksgiving
and into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him
and bless His name."

At Providence our hearts must be filled with gratitude as we count the many blessings our gracious Heavenly Father has given us.  We have experienced many wonderful gifts from our Lord that have enhanced our ministry to one another and to our community.

Sunday, November 18th, is our Thanksgiving Feast at Providence after the 11 a.m. Thanksgiving Service.  This is the day we gather together to express our gratitude to God for the bountiful gifts He has shared with us.  Following our morning worship service, we will enjoy our Thanksgiving Feast.  This is always a very special time as our church family gathers with friends from across our community to celebrate all that God has done for us.

This is also the time for us to say "THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS TO PROVIDENCE."

Each year we give a special Thanksgiving offering to be used to make necessary capital improvements as we keep house for God.   Recently I shared with our church family some of these needs, such as the replacing of the floor in the Sanctuary, a new youth center that will be added to our property, along with other emergency building needs that happen at times.

We will have special Thanksgiving Offering envelopes.  Please give serious prayer to this matter, place your offering in the envelope and give to the Lord with a heart filled with gratitude.

What a great day we are going to have on November 18th as we give "thanks to the Lord for all He has done for us.”

Blessings,
Gene Tyre,  "Doc"
