"Blessed To Be A Blessing"

7/30/2015

Each day I count my blessings.  I am so grateful for God's call upon my life and I know it is by God's grace I was made a minister of the Gospel.  I am also blessed to pastor Providence Baptist Church of Rico, located in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.  God is bringing together a group of people who understand what it means to be the people of God on mission.

The month of August is going to be a time when we celebrate the blessings of God with the understanding that WE ARE BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING.   Each Sunday we will focus on a different ministry bringing to each service a commitment to use the blessings God has given us to bless others.

So much is being written today concerning the decline of the church.  A group of people known as the DONES have been identified as those leaving the church with no desire to return.  So many of these people state that they are weary of the institutional church, but have a hunger for God. Providence is about being the kind of church people do not want to leave. We are committed to using the blessings God has given us to bless others.

Are you searching for a church where you will be challenged to become all you can become in Christ?  Are you looking for a church where you can discover your spiritual gifts and use them in service to the Lord Jesus Christ?  Are you looking for a church where you feel a sense of belonging?  Are you looking for a church where the focus is on transformation rather than condemnation?  Let me encourage you to visit us before you eliminate church from your life.  I would love to have the opportunity to meet you and share with you some of the things God is doing at Providence.  Come, let's talk about what it means to be "A PLACE OF GRACE."

Blessings,
Dr. Gene Tyre
