As I pen these words, I give gratitude to God for the gift of life. We see life bursting out all over. This time of year brings new life to nature. We are blessed by the greening of the grass, the budding of the trees, and the warmth of a spring day.
My purpose in writing these words is to encourage the reader to live life to it’s fullest. Yes, this time of year reminds us that “LIFE IS FOR LIVING.” The question surfaces, “in the living of my days, how can I experience real life?”
The late Robert Schulller will be remembered for welcoming people to church with the words, “THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HATH MADE LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT.” So the beginning of living each day is expressing gratitude to God for the gift of a new day. What a blessing to know that it is a day that “the Lord hath made.” I encourage each of us to accept the gift of each day and live the gift to it’s fullest. Consider the following ways to affirm that life is for living.
Begin each day counting blessings. God is a gracious God sharing blessings that enrich our lives. Express gratitude for friends, family and faith.
Make time each morning to commune with God in prayer. Give praise to HIm for His presence and thank Him for His faithfulness in the hours ahead. Remember God is indeed faithful and “there is no shadow of turning in HIm.” He is with us always. What a blessing to begin the journey of each new day walking with Him as he enables us to navigate the challenges of life.
Live life to it’s fullest by reaching out, sharing the gift of encouragement with others. Each day God places persons on our agenda. He calls us to share an encouraging word, to extend a helping hand, to write an inspiring note, to affirm the blessing of Presence through the attitude we bring to others.
Yes, new life is bursting out all over. Remember life is for living and now is the TIME TO LIVE. ABOVE ALL REMEMBER THE WORDS OF JESUS, “I HAVE COME THAT YOU MAY HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY.”
