My heart overflows with thanksgiving to God that for the past ten years I have been privileged to Pastor Provicence Baptist Church, Rico, in Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia.
I want to thank the people of Providence for giving me the blessing of serving as their Pastor. This fellowship of believers is gracious with the gift of encouraging words. They are not tiimid about expressing appreciation; above all they take seriously the teachings of Jesus and strive each day to walk in His steps. They are a a people who have brought inspiration and excouragement to their Pastor and I am thankful to God upon each remembrance of them.
I love being Pastor of Providence Baptist Church. It is a joy to be Pastor of a people who are serious about being the people of God on mission. Providence people never leave their experience with God in the Sanctuary - they take it to the streets. I have seen the people of God on mission from hurricane-devastated Louisiana and Mississippi, to putting roofs on the homes of the less fortunate in our community. I have heard their prayers, observed how they been blessed to share their blessings with others. I have seen them on the mountain top of joy as they celebrate a new life in Christ. I have also seen them wipe away the tears of those who stuggle to find answers to the difficult questions life brings.
Providence people have a very special place in my heart. As you read these words I want you to know how much I love the Providence people and am so thankful for the blessing of being their Pastor. FROM MY PERSPECTIVE, IT HAS BEEN A GREAT TEN YEARS. I BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART THAT THE FUTURE OF PROVIDENCE BAPTIST CHURCH IS AS BRIGHT AS THE PROMISES OF GOD.
A CONCLUDING THOUGHT:
I just shared these words with my wife Margaret. Margaret wanted me to share with the Providence people her love for them and her gratitude to God for being part of the Providence family. PROVIDENCE, MARGARET TYRE HAS A SPECIAL PLACE IN HER HEART FOR EACH OF YOU.
